Former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura recently announced on the Alex Jones radio show, his doubts about the official story of 911. He questioned the rate of speed of the collapse of the WTC Towers, which fell in about 10 seconds. "If you dropped a billiard ball from the roof of the WTC Towers in a complete vacuum it would have fallen in 9.3 seconds." The WTC collapse and implosion/explosion demolished the towers into powder.

Then a few nights later he appeared on Hannity and Colmes to discuss his new book Don't start the revolution without me, the question about 911 came up. Ventura elaborated his understanding of the science of 911, again referring to the billiard ball, and how kerosene fuel as an accelerant lacks the energy necessary to melt steel I beams, and blast the WTC towers into powder.

Hannity responds with Ventura's questions about the collapse of WTC towers at near the rate of gravity "I'm not an engineer, but if it were true then a lot of engineers would have come out before that." He then segues into the former governor's short lived MSNBC talk show, which Ventura believes was canceled because of his position on the Iraq war. Apparently as a part of the contract he was restricted from doing other news shows, his contract with MSNBC restricted him from appearances on news media television shows for the duration of the contract. Despite the cancellation of his show, the contract still held that he couldn't do other media until the expiry of the contract 3 years later.

Interestingly he pointed out that the media is not truly independent, and his one example was the month and a half coverage of the death of Anna Nicole Smith by the cable, and news media in 2007. "Okay you guys chose to cover the death of Anna Nicole Smith for a month and a half?"

Interestingly enough engineers have questioned the collapse of WTC 1, 2, and 7: http://www.ae911truth.org/ Dr. Stephen E. Jones postulated the use of thermate because of the microscopic remnants of molten metal, (which incidentally, would require temperatures much hotter than burning jet fuel could provide).

911 truth is far from proven science, built upon a circumstantial case, but, there are so many problems with the Bush Administration's explanation of the events on 911, as to make it ludicrous. 911 truth may have finally met the mainstream, but how long until the mainstream embraces the truth about 911? Truthers have demonstrated that the case for Osama, and 19 hijackers acting alone to bring about the events on 911 is a weak one. They have also demonstrated that the official explanation is not based on sound science.

The only people who don't doubt 911 as sold by the Bush Administration have either never looked at the facts, have little or no understanding of science, or they are lying. Too many lives have been lost, both on 911 and since for us to not take these lies seriously. We must actively support a new independent investigation constituting real political opposition, and ignoring no leads in pursuit of the truth about 911.

I don't know what the truth is about 911, but I know what it isn't, and that is what we have been told hitherto by the media, and the Bush Administration.

Aztlán refers to lands in the contiguous USA once inhabited by Native groups, legendary lands north of Mexico, mainly comprising the US southwest. The claim to the lands extends to legends of the Nahua peoples, a group of seven different meso-american tribes. The groups shared a common language, further binding the groups socially. The exact location of Aztlán is a point of some debate, as historical accounts disagree with one another.

Legend says that the seven tribes occupied seven caves, Chicomoztoc, the groups migrated southward to present day Mexico in the early part of the second millenium, approx 1054 A.D.

Spanish conquistadors in the 15th and 16th century colonized central America, and parts of the modern southwestern US, and Texas. The conquistadors intermarried with local tribes. Forcing the adoption of the Spanish language, and Catholicism and disrupting the social order of meso-America. They were creating a New Order in the New World. Tales of brutality and barbarism in the conquest of the Americas by the Spanish are common. While parallels in the north, happened, the conquest of the warlike Aztecs (also known for brutality) in attempt to civilize the New World, was especially brutal.

Spain itself had been conquered by the Moors, (middle eastern raiders) during the dark ages. The Umayyad while holding Spain, used their location on the Iberian peninsula as a base for further expansion into France, until Charles Martel defeated them at the Battle of Tours. His grandson Charlemagne continued the campaign against the Moors throughout his life. The Spanish reconquista of Spain, to repel the Moors was the first reconquista, lasting more than 700 years.

The claims of groups like la Mecha (Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlán) or Chicano student movement of Aztlán and, la Raza (the race) are two different groups not unlike the KKK, the skinhead movement, or the neo-nazi movement. The groups preach racial separatism, and promote a new reconquista of the lands of Aztlán.

These separatist groups are overtly promoting a new “Plan of San Diego” a plan to use force to retake the Southwest from the USA. I say overtly, but the use of the Spanish language conceals the true nature of the movement from the American people, most of whom speak only one language: English. Talk about covert in plain sight. Many proponents speak openly about the use of violent conflict, and migration to take back the southwest.

This misplaced hostility toward the US is odd, considering the conquest of the meso-American tribes was made by the Spanish conquistadors, and not American colonials. Inherent contradictions arise to the outside observer. Why not support a growth in native languages? Why not build a better Mexico? Why direct hostility toward Americans, when the problems faced by Mexicans are largely self-inflicted?

Nationalist movements like the KKK, or other separatist groups espousing hostility, xenophobia, and even violence are rightly not tolerated, even demonized by most people. Intolerant attitudes about race are not acceptable in a hetero-geneous nation like the US. The “melting pot” brought immigrants seeking freedom, respectful of the US culture.

It's no secret that mass migration of poor Mexicans to the US has metastasized since 2000. The Bush administration has been loathe to enforce the integrity of the southern US border. Estimates place the number of illegal immigrants at 12-30 million people. It's estimated that 15% of the Mexican populace is actually living and working in the US now.

The fact that the US government is not performing their constitutionally appointed task of protecting the sovereignty of the US is troubling. Imagine an Islamic group holding rallies talking about conquest of regions of the US, using violence and racially motivated violence, would that make the evening news?

The trouble with mass migration of poor people to the US is the effect it has on wages, resources for poor Americans, also the taxing effect on social welfare services is well known, many hospitals are closing as well. Another problem is the creation of a 2nd or 3rd class citizen, who does not enjoy full citizenship, and is less likely to report crimes for fear of identification as unlawful resident, then deportation. The American middle class, and working poor already under squeeze from over-taxation, over-regulation, over-supervision, the off-shoring of valuable manufacturing jobs, is feeling the effects of this “reconquista”.

This nation's strength has been immigration, assimilation into the culture of immigrants, which has complemented the culture, economy, science and technology of the US. A process exists for orderly immigration, which involves application for resident visas, waiting in line, and study of US history, civics, etc.

This new trend of “reconquista” of lands ceded to the US by the Spanish authority through land grants, and treaty, by foreign nationals, with no particular loyalty to the traditions, and culture of the US is unusual, but resembles the fall of the western Roman Empire, after Alaric of the Visigoths sacked Rome.

Consider this: the Roman citizenry was decadent, despite access to education, many Romans spent their time immersed in entertainment, and many did not serve in the Roman legions. Soon the need for military personnel lead to the use of conquered subject populations as military legions. Over taxation lead to the cooling off of the Roman economy, pressure to operate the sprawling bureaucracy of the empire required a constant expansion into new territory and the addition of new subjects to pay taxes, and serve in the military. This expansion furthered the trouble of maintaining the bureaucracy.

The US military has recruiting stations in central America, and as the Iraq war enters the sixth year, fewer Americans are volunteering for service. An increasing percentage of active duty military are foreign nationals!

The Mexican government teaches it's people that the lands of the Southwestern US were taken from Mexico by the US, and that the Mexican people still hold a claim to lands. The Mexican government also publishes pamphlets on how to illegally enter the US. A growing percentage of our military is also central American nationals, from Mexico, Panama, etc.

The confluence of these factors is a recipe for disaster. Understanding that the ideas at the core of the Mecha movement involve immigration and use of force to retake the now developed land of the Southwest. Violence against people that is racially motivated is considered a hate crime, one can only wonder why the FBI is not investigating this? Again imagine separatist whites talking about forming a new independent state, and using force to do it. Would that make the evening news?

Culturally Mexico is rightly considered a corrupt kleptocracy. The people of Mexico don't enjoy the rule of law. Crime is rampant in border communities, many former booming tourist spots on the southern side of the US/Mexican border are now ghost towns. Narco-terrorist guerillas make forays into the US every day, many times engaging in firefights with border agents. Mexican police, internally, are known for corruption, as well as the Mexican government.

The US government has not only permitted the operation of these groups, but has stymied the efforts of border agents to perform their jobs in protecting our borders. A well known case is the incident of Ignacio Ramos, and Jose Campion, two border patrol agents, sentenced to 15 years in prison for firing on a Mexican pot smuggler in the process of smuggling a truckload of marijuana.

There is very little difference between the US and Mexico geographically, and geologically. Mexico is south of the US, and holds large petroleum reserves, natural resources sufficient to create and sustain a booming economy. Opportunity exists, but the kleptocratic government prevents a real expansion of the middle class in Mexico. The land of Mexico is really not much different than the US in most respects. The culture, government and the management of the resources are the difference. Mexico is quite wealthy, in fact it has the largest concentration of billionaires of any country. The country has maintained a mercantillistic economy, preventing the spread of wealth.

Patriotic Mexicans would stay and build a better Mexico, considering that the resources exist, all it takes it the will of the people to bring change.

The Mexican government is exporting their problems to the US, but soon the breaking point will come. The federal government of the US has incurred so much debt that it can never be repaid in the lifetime of either the writer of this article, or the reader. We have off-shored well paying jobs, demand for network engineers, and telephone representatives has lead to a boom in India. There is very little left in the US except for government jobs. The public sector has swallowed much of the service economy.

With what remains as far as availability of jobs, how long can the US last under these pressures? Bankruptcy is imminent, and wages are plummeting. Unless something is done, real leadership steps up, the odds are against us.

One may fairly assume that based on the open-source intelligence presented above, that it's a well known fact that groups like la Mecha, and la Raza constitute a threat to the well being of Americans, in terms of financial and personal security.

This melting pot is becoming a fiery cauldron of opposing groups, intent on maintaining their culture, with little to tie each other together, not even a common language. This situation is ripe for exploitation too. Divide and conquer, a method by which unscrupulous people align enemy groups in opposition to each other rather than conquering them directly, they will conquer each other, as pawns in a strategic game.

Clearly the use of immigrant labor drives down the wages and quality of life of Americans. Clearly the Mexican government is not interested in the well being of it's citizens. Could we be viewing the results of a covert partnership between the two parties? This alignment of groups couldn't happen by accident could it? US government officials scapegoating immigrant labor as the problem. Mexican government officials scapegoating Americans living in the southwest as the problem? These two songs rhyme, and I don't like the sound of it.

Supreme court hears oral arguments, transcripts show inclination to invalidate 2nd Amendment.

During oral arguments, the supreme court discussed a lawsuit about localities ability to violate the second amendment and ban guns. D.C. is not in any state, and is directly under federal law. Oral arguments show an inclination toward upholding the D.C. gun ban. Even pro 2nd amendment justices are vacillating, considering "reasonable restrictions".

The high court had not previously ruled on the matter in the history of the Republic, but on March 19, 2008 ruled that the amendment is no protection for gun owners in D.C.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The second amendment in clear and concise language of one sentence states clearly that the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

The word infringe is defined as following: "to encroach upon in a way that violates law or the rights of another" Merriam Webster Dictionary.

The only reason for gun registration is an incremental process leading inexorably toward gun confiscation. Gun registration sounds reasonable, but it falls in the category of infringement, in my opinion. The only reason for disarming a populace, historically, is the pursuit of some tyrannical endgame.

An armed populace may peacefully disagree with it's government. The government of an armed populace must respect the will of the people. The founders understood clearly, after their struggle to achieve freedom, that successive governments would not always share their views on the rights of the people.

It's the clearest, most concise of all of the Bill of Rights. In plain language, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Now the appointed body, of the Supreme Court, has infringed the rights of the people of D.C. This precedent is clearly set by this court that the rights of the people are not it's chief concern, and that protection of the ruling government trumps all concerns of individual rights.

Recently the high court ruled against the right to own private property. What's next, freedom of speech?

Michelle Malkin Blog downplays puppy tosser.

Recently a youtube video has come to public scrutiny after a Hawaii based Marine was filmed tossing a live puppy off of a cliff in Iraq.

Coverage from outlets like the Guardian, Drudge Report and other mainstream outlets have been spurred by the outrage of the public. A probe by leadership at the base in Kanehoe HI is pending.
The video has been pulled from youtube.

The Marine is identified as David Motari a Lance Cpl. stationed out of Kanehoe.

Michelle Malkin, a neoconservative blogger who appears regularly on Bill O'Reilly's show, downplayed the video as a fake, even as Marine leadership in Kanehoe acknowledge the video is real, and they are investigating the occurrence.

"This is a shocking and deplorable video that contrary to the high standards we set for every Marine. We will investigate this and take appropriate action," Maj. Christopher Perrine said.

Warning!! These videos are graphic and shouldn't be watched by the faint of heart or children.
This kind of abuse is tame considering videos of Blackwater contractors taking potshots at cars driven by civilians in Iraq, and other videos of abuse by Soldiers, and Marines are prolific across the web. Some videos even show deliberate killing of civilians in Iraq. One video shows Marines killing a wounded Iraqi laying on the ground, then cheering.

Whether you support continuing the war or not, this kind of conduct is deplorable, and should not be sanctioned. As a nation of decent people we should not tolerate this conduct.

Despite claims by politicians and some police officers that Tasers would save lives by preventing shootings, the devices that are being used by a growing number of police forces were never meant as an alternative to guns, experts say.

Statistics obtained by the Canadian Press bear out that idea, showing that in some of the cities that have recently adopted Tasers, the number of police shootings has remained fairly consistent and low, while Tasers are being used exponentially more often.

In Winnipeg, for example, police shootings of suspects are rare. There was one in 2003, and none in 2004. In 2006, the Winnipeg Police Service fired guns on suspects twice. They also started using Tasers in September of that year, firing them at individuals 37 times before the year was out.

“Tasers are not meant to replace firearms,” Cst. Adam Cheadle, the service’s use of force co-ordinator, said in a recent interview.

“The Taser is on the same playing field as a baton or [pepper] spray.”

n Calgary, there was only one officer-involved shooting in 2003 - two years before Tasers were introduced - and none in 2007. So far this year, Calgary police have “deployed” (a term that includes any incident where the machine is unholstered and its laser is activated, even if it ends up not being fired) their Tasers 133 times.

In Montreal, police were involved in three shooting incidents in 2003, before they had Tasers. They also used their firearms three times last year, while firing Tasers 28 times.

Numbers in many other jurisdictions are hard to come by. The RCMP, whose members have fired Tasers more than 3,000 times since 2001, said it doesn’t keep track of how often firearms are used across the country. Police spokespersons in Toronto, Vancouver and Halifax were unable to provide comparable statistics on Taser and gun usage.
‘Another use-of-force tool’

The numbers that have been released counter the idea promoted by some politicians and police officials in the early 2000s, when the stun guns were being introduced, that officers would be able to use Tasers instead of their guns and that could save lives.

When the RCMP unveiled plans to equip its Alberta detachments with Tasers in 2002, Sgt. Steve Gleboff told reporters “what we’re trying to do is eliminate the necessity to shoot somebody.”

Two years later, when controversy erupted over Taser usage in Ontario, then Community Safety Minister Monte Kwinter said the devices were a better alternative to firearms.

Even the man currently probing the RCMP’s use of Tasers, Paul Kennedy, head of the RCMP Public Complaints Commission, told a police oversight convention last year that being hit by a Taser was better than being hit by a bullet.

That expectation was wrong, according to the man who trains Calgary police officers to use Tasers.

“Use of force experts across Canada right now, we’re kind of shaking our heads going, ‘How did we give the impression to the lay public or the media that Tasers were ever supposed to be a replacement for lethal force?’” said Staff Sgt. Chris Butler.

“They were another use-of-force tool in the same regard as the baton, the O.C. spray. Just another tool.”

Reduce injuries, compared to batons or spray

While Tasers may not reduce the number of police shootings, Butler said they have succeeded in reducing the number of injuries that can result from an officer having to use a baton or pepper spray on a suspect, or wrestle with him.

“In 99.7 per cent of Taser uses, there are no injuries. When you compare that to a baton use, the statistical likelihood of injuries from a Taser deployment are much less.”

The growing use of Tasers was highlighted in an interim report by the RCMP complaints commissioner last week, which said Taser use “has expanded to include subduing resistant subjects who do not pose a threat of grievous bodily harm or death and on whom the use of lethal force would not be an option.”

In response, the Mounties issued new guidelines limiting Taser use to situations where “a subject is displaying combative behaviours or is being actively resistant.”

Eighteen people in Canada have died in recent years after being hit by a Taser, although the company that manufactures the weapons stresses they have never been directly blamed for a death.

Deputy suspended after dumping man from wheelchair

Video of the event is posted on Tampa Bay Channel 10 website. In an act of apparent cruelty and naked display of power Hillsborough Co. Sheriff's Deputy Charlette Jones dumped Brian Sterner, a quadriplegic who broke his neck 14 years ago.

He was dumped out of the wheelchair with so much force he broke two ribs. He says the deputy looked at him and did not believe he was quadriplegic.

"The Hillsborough Sheriff's Office didn't know anything about the incident until we showed them their own tape. Now an investigation is underway." Channel 10 news.

Channel 10 news attempted to get an incident report. They soon discovered the Sheriff's office didn't believe the incident qualified, therefore didn't complete one of the incident. Deputy Charlette Jones was suspended without pay, pending completion of the investigation.

Commentary

She should be charged with assault, and placed in the Hillsborough county jail with her former colleagues, for investigatory detention. Police officers should be held to the same standards of conduct as anyone. If you or I did this we would be detained immediately. Congressman Ron Paul has called on his supporters to organize a march on Washington DC, admitting that such a move would be "risky" but impossible for the media to ignore and could have a big impact on the eve of the Republican convention.

In a campaign update posted on You Tube last night, the Texan outlined his thinking behind the plan.

"One of the projects that I've been working on in my mind and in my head that I want to share with you....we ought to make a grand display, we ought to have a true march to show what our numbers are," said Paul, adding that such a move would be "risky".

Paul said that the march was necessary because the media would not be able to ignore it and such an action would "send a powerful message."

"Others have gone to Washington and people remember the grand rallies, so I'm at the point where I think we have to make a grand stand, we have to stand firm and see where the numbers are and be counted and see if the remnant is there and see how big it is," said Paul, adding that such a display could make delegates sit up and take notice at the Republican convention in September.

Paul said the rally was vital, "If we want to really take a stand for freedom, take a stand that nobody can ignore, to see what would happen if we really had this grand march on Washington."

The Congressman said the march would have to take place within three or four months so that it would occur before the convention.

The prospect of such a huge public display is obviously going to send chills down the spines of the elite and they will no doubt be considering plans to infiltrate and provocateur violence so as to demonize legitimate demonstrators in the eyes of the watching audience.

Numerous important demonstrations down the years have been infiltrated by authorities posing as anarchists who instigate violence to give the police carte blanche to crackdown on peaceful protesters.

Nowhere was this more evident that in Quebec last summer where during the SPP summit protest, Canadian police were caught and later forced to admit to posing as violent rock-carrying anarchists as other police staged their arrest when they were pointed out as cops by protesters.

The potential of more staged violence is particularly high considering the fact that the media has engaged in a year-long campaign to insinuate that Ron Paul supporters are extremists, racists and possibly violent. They seized upon several "money-bomb" campaigns to link the terminology with Guy Fawkes' 16th century Gunpowder Plot to bomb the British parliament.

During his campaign update, Ron Paul also emphasized why his supporters should not be disheartened by his recent decision to scale back his presidential campaign in order to safeguard his congressional seat.

"We do have to be very positive about what we have achieved this year, far beyond my expectations and far beyond the expectations of most of those individuals in the media who wrote us off rather quickly," said Paul.

"If we drop the ball now, if we fade away and disappear, all the work and effort that we've done in this past year could be lost so that is why I believe we have to stay in this race and do what we can."

"We can't turn this around in a week or two or a year or two, but if conditions deteriorate as I suspect we have to have a hardcore of people who understand these issues who are able to rebuild this society," he added.

"We need everybody to stay engaged and stay active and not be disillusioned that this is all over....we can't drop the ball right now, we have to continue this process," concluded Paul.

Whoa! What a year this has been. And what achievements we have had. If I may quote Trotsky of all people, this Revolution is permanent. It will not end at the Republican convention. It will not end in November. It will not end until we have won the great battle on which we have embarked. Not because of me, but because of you. Millions of Americans -- and friends in many other countries -- have dedicated themselves to the principles of liberty: to free enterprise, limited government, sound money, no income tax, and peace. We will not falter so long as there is one restriction on our persons, our property, our civil liberties. How much I owe you. I can never possibly repay your generous donations, hard work, whole-hearted dedication and love of freedom. How blessed I am to be associated with you. Carol, of course, sends her love as well.

Let me tell you my thoughts. With Romney gone, the chances of a brokered convention are nearly zero. But that does not affect my determination to fight on, in every caucus and primary remaining, and at the convention for our ideas, with just as many delegates as I can get. But with so many primaries and caucuses now over, we do not now need so big a national campaign staff, and so I am making it leaner and tighter. Of course, I am committed to fighting for our ideas within the Republican party, so there will be no third party run. I do not denigrate third parties -- just the opposite, and I have long worked to remove the ballot-access restrictions on them. But I am a Republican, and I will remain a Republican.

I also have another priority. I have constituents in my home district that I must serve. I cannot and will not let them down. And I have another battle I must face here as well. If I were to lose the primary for my congressional seat, all our opponents would react with glee, and pretend it was a rejection of our ideas. I cannot and will not let that happen.

In the presidential race and the congressional race, I need your support, as always. And I have plans to continue fighting for our ideas in politics and education that I will share with you when I can, for I will need you at my side. In the meantime, onward and upward! The neocons, the warmongers, the socialists, the advocates of inflation will be hearing much from you and me.

Romney is out, now it's a Three way race

Romney today announced a "suspension" in his campaign. His departure means that the Republican nomination could swing easily to Mccain now.

Hopes of the Paul campaign for a brokered convention are now looking bleak. The results of Super Tuesday indicated a split, that no candidate had a sufficient number of delegates to lock the nomination, considering the number of delegates left, and the number of delegates awarded.

Romney had self financed to a degree, spending 18 million of his own fortune in Q4 of 2007 in the primary contest. For all his investment he won 11 states and 294 delegates.

John Mccain won 12 states and 707 delegates. Mike Huckabee won 6 states and 195 delegates. Ron Paul has 14 delegates. The campaign for the Republican nomination has been thus far been a vague deluge of platitudes. Support for continuing an unpopular foreign policy, with most of the mainstream candidates on the Democrat, and Republican sides expressing their support of the war in Iraq.

Recent CNN opinion polls indicate most adults are opposed to continuing the Iraq war. The votes didn't reflect the lack of support as the mainstream candidates swept the primaries/ caucus contests. Chicanery, and election fraud are being reported, but with the national contest in 22 states there is not enough time in a 24 hour news cycle to cover it, that and the reluctance of the mainstream media to cover such taboo subjects.

My conclusion is that election fraud and chicanery, media blackout, even racist smears of the Paul campaign limited his success. This when the majority of the news media are willing to overlook Mccains' gook remark. The media is reporting some limited isolated accounts of election fraud, however. Be prepared for more false conclusions and bad analysis about the election results in the media. They confine their discussion to the accepted canon of reality, which as any reader of this blog knows, I do not dignify as real, or accepted by the public at all.

Willie Nelson spoke with Alex Jones on his national syndicated radio program this Monday. Nelson brought up his doubts about 911. His impression of the building collapse was that the it reminded him of a Las Vegas style building implosion. "The day it happened, I saw one fall and it was just so symmetrical,” Nelson said on Alex Jones' talk show. “I said, ‘Wait a minute, I just saw that last week at the casino in Las Vegas’, and you see these implosions all the time, and the next one fell and I said, ‘Hell, there’s another one.' They’re trying to tell me that an airplane did it and I can’t go along with that.”

He state his concerns about the possibility of a staged attack before this years Presidential election could lead to The Bush Administration canceling the Election, as they had suggested in 2004 , and that "Bush would stay in office for another decade".

Nelson was also outspoken on the Iraq war, condemning the continued conflict, and that the Iraqi people, and their government had nothing to do with the 911 attacks.

He brought up the fact that 15 of the 19 attackers on 911 were from Saudi Arabia, but we attacked Afghanistan.

A recent CNN opinion poll indicates 64% of adults are opposed to the Iraq war.

Nelson is the latest in a line of public figures, entertainers to voice concerns about 911, including Charlie Sheen, Martin Sheen, Andreas von Bulow the former Technology Minister from Germany, as well as former Italian Prime Minister Francesco Cossiga who blatantly said that amongst intelligence agencies across the world it was common knowledge that the attacks on 911 were carried out by the CIA and Mossad intelligence agencies.

Global Warming Hype

Since Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth, and the evidence of warming for the past 20 years, many people have been lead to believe that global warming is the biggest crisis faced by humanity, requiring immediate action, including massive sacrifices by everyone.

The coverage of the issue has been at best one sided. A UK judge ruled that the film contains 9 errors, and that if shown in Schools teachers must first issue a warning to students to prevent political indoctrination. Citing Gore's presentation of the facts in "the context of alarmism and exaggeration."

The film is presented to further a political cause rather than to inform and enlighten the public.

The impact of carbon credits, and cap and trade (Both favored by Gore) on an already ailing US economy would be disastrous, the result of which would be to act as justification for corporations to move their operations to nations that do not sign on to the Kyoto accord, off shoring manufacturing jobs. The end result of implementing the Kyoto Accord would do nothing to reduce carbon emissions, and in fact lax regulation in those markets may exacerbate the problem increasing carbon emissions.

Before jumping on the Global Warming bandwagon, I strongly advise taking a balanced approach, and viewing the counter argument. While many people will not change their minds on the basis of a 2 hour video, one should consider the logic of committing to a cap and trade system on the basis of viewing a biased film by a politician who claimed at one time that he invented the internet. Especially when the most dramatic and persuasive elements of the film have been discredited.

Remember Greenland is so named because the Vikings found it to be a verdant, lush land in the Middle Ages. Incidentally, 1998 is often incorrectly cited as the warmest year on record. What you may not know is that NASA climate data used to make this claim was found to be false by a blogger, the data set was skewed as a result of the y2k bug.

Warm temperatures are now considered to be a scourge, but historically periods of cooling like the Little Ice Age have caused crop failures, mass starvation, and resulted in mass migrations to warmer climes. The Thames River in England used to freeze in the wintertime and the residents of the time even held frost fairs on the frozen river.

For a time in the middle ages called the Medieval warm period (when people on average were a foot taller than we are today), typically were punctuated by cultural advances that benefited humanity. During a period of time 5000-9000 years ago now referred to as the Holocene Climatic optimum history shows similar cultural advances.

Please don't be persuaded by a film presented in a political context of persuasion, using flawed science, errors of omission, designed to support of a flawed plan that will do more harm than good if implemented.

Precinct walking in Ellensburg

It may have been a late start, but three of us from the Ellensburg Ron Paul meetup group began precinct walking in Ellensburg.

Yesterday we were bannering for Dr. Paul in a high traffic location in town, the response of supportive motorists went beyond our expectations. Despite the lack of media coverage we are getting Paul's message of freedom, sound money, and a sound foreign policy out there.

There were very few negative reactions, from some young men locally, a middle finger. But they were the minority. People waved, our smiling faces supporting Dr. Paul despite the weather had to carry the effect of our support farther.

We will continue beyond the presidential election, to recruit and support local candidates that support the message of freedom, and I'm confident that lasting change can happen. We have to remember that only long term thinking will change the effect that our short election cycles have on the nature of politics. The idea of handouts or favors in return for our vote has to end.

Only when we respect individual liberty can we restore the Republic.
